Hi. I’m wondering if there is an easy-enough way to have the default menu trigger not be output? I’d prefer something done in functions.php or some other way that would not be overwritten if updating.

The reason is that I’d like to use our own menu trigger element instead. I discovered that having an ID of #click-menu allows an item to function as the trigger, but then I would have duplicate conflicting ID’s on the page, which is not ideal.

We have a menu trigger that displays the page title next to the typical 3-line button. It’s just a nice thing to help reinforce where a user is on the site.

And we’re also able to place this element inside of the container that we set to be ‘pushed’ by the menu opening so that it can reside next to the menu and slide out when the menu is opened. Unfortunately, this is not working in all browsers yet, but it does work in some so we’re hoping it can be fixed somehow with CSS (any ideas?!?).

Thanks! This plugin shows a lot of promise if we can get a couple minor things like this worked out.

  • Hi Kenny,

I’ve just replied to your email you sent, however this is now on the development list and hope to have it rolled out over the Christmas period.

    Many thanks

    Peter
