Someone mistyped the administration email and is probably not aware of this. For this reason we get frequent (about twice weekly) a message about (failed) updates of wordpress and plugins. The developer is not available and we have no access to the hoster or wordpress BE. How can we stop these emails?

You can’t delete it, but you can change it to an address that exists. Here’s how:

we have no access to the host. we do have access to the email configured as administrator. but no user shares this email. so password reset does not work. there is no such user. Is this a flaw in wordpress ? the admin email can not be changed if host access nor user access is posible?

A former employee created the website and went awol. We use the same email as admin settings and company rules dictate an in company email for users. But it is up to the discipline of the user to follow those.

guessing usernames to reset the password is treated with a 429 error.
