In the site where this is active, go to Admin > Appearance > Themes and activate the original one that is supposed to be used for it. Then you can delete the theme and upload it to the correct site.

When you say delete the theme, are you talking about from my ftp site? as you can see, I’m an intermediate, not advanced, user.
I would suggest contacting the theme developer/company and inform them the steps performed. They may be able to provide you with a new key or steps required.
I have done that. Unfortunately, they are in Nepal. Still, I’ve followed their directions and the result is the same. I am asked to purchase. It sounds like you can’t help on this, so thank you for getting back to me quickly.

you should be able to delete a theme (unless it is the active one): goto ‘dashboard – appearance – themes‘ – click ‘theme details‘ of the one you want to delete – click ‘delete‘ (near the bottom right)
I deleted it, redownloaded, reactivated. Still getting the request to purchase.
