”Remember me” checkbox is a lie

    Hello all

    Please help me save time with this.

    I tried using a plugin called ”Remember Me” but it was the most useless thing ever.

    It ensures that the remember me box is ticked and nothing else… Why on earth would that be useful for anyone?

    I don’t want to log in over and over again especially mid post.
    Is there anyway to stop wordpress from cuttting me off mid post and asking me to log in again.

    I’ve lost valuable time and am fed up with this at the moment. Any help would be appreciated, thank you

    How hard is it to click the “remember me” box once every two weeks?

    Anyhow, if you’re not being remembered, either a theme or plugin is blocking those cookies OR your browser is not keeping them.

    Well yeah the issue is it doesn’t remember any details even for a minute.

    Tried the remember me plug in and another one which had no effect – it just literally ticked the box permanently and nothing else.

    Using bog standard chrome

    When ticking remember me, the details you enter i.e username and password, is remembered for an easy log in the next time.

    Instead, it always blanks out even during in the middle of making a post. Therefore, wasting a lot of time

    That’s not what “remember me” does. Checking the box on a login page sets a cookie such that unless you explicitly log out, you’ll be logged in the next time you visit the site.

    Well word it however you want but that’s what I mean. It auto logs me out and I’m never logged in when I visit the site again.

    Check the cookies related to your site in your browser when you’re logged in and compare them to when you’re logged out.
