• I’ve checked my homepage with SEO check from Quix.

The test showed my the following finding: “canonical http://www.saarfuchs.com/”

In the test report, I could read the following advice: “Notice: This page’s canonical link element points to another page, which might prevent this page from showing up in the rankings.”

Now my question – is there any setting in wordpress-seo to get the ‘/’ at the end of my url removed?

    Thanks in advance,
    Joerg

  • I’m sorry but I’m not sure what you want to achieve with it. Are you trying to remove this message:

“Notice: This page’s canonical link element points to another page, which might prevent this page from showing up in the rankings.”

by removing / at the end of your url?

If so, what makes you think that the message is a problem? It just tells you that there’s a canonical that points from page A to page B and page A may not rank well because it gives its ‘juice’ to page B. So, it’s how canonical is supposed to work.

Plus there’s no SEO advantage to having a trailing slash or not.
