Reinstalling wordpress

    I need to reinstall wordpress and want to know if i can use the same pages i’ve created with wordpress before. i have a backup of wordpress before i had problems, but where do the pages that i created go to? i tried finding them via ftp but have no clue where they’re at.

    content (pages and posts and stuff) is stored in your mysql database.

    really?
    my dillema is that my co-owner’s dad set up our database and contacting him is very difficult, is there any other way? 🙁

    oh well, thank you.

    Another question- yesterday I made a database backup with the database backup plug in. how can i view whats in the file since it’s saved as .sql.gz?

    my bad, i unzip it hahaha. oh gosh, i’m terrible at this.

    alright. since i have this backup is it possible for me to reinstall wordpress but be able to use this to obtain my posts once I get the database password?
