Sorry that you ran into issues here!
When you need to upgrade a plugin, or do a reinstall, the standard operating procedure (even the one followed by WP when you click “Upgrade” on the plugins dashboard is this:
– Deactivate the existing plugin
– Delete the existing plugin
– Install the new plugin
– Activate the new plugin
That’s how WP ensures that a “fresh” copy of the plugin is used and nothing is left behind.
This operation is safe–no data will be lost.
Does that make more sense?
With that said, you may wish to run a conflict test on the NEW host if you still see the issue.
