    Good morning everyone,
sorry my english, i use google translate.
I try to explain the problem with the hope that someone can help me.
I set up the plugin so that guests can submit reviews too, and so far everything is fine.
I then received a complaint from a user, who received the registration notification immediately after submitting the review. I later tried to simulate a review and actually the plugin creates an account for guests who submit reviews and does it without their approval.
This is obviously incorrect as well as not legal. I asked for an explanation from the assistance, who replied that the plugin works in this way, later I requested further assistance to find a way to solve but they have not answered me anymore.
Given that I’ve spent many days creating listings and need guest reviews, I find myself having to throw all the work away.
Can anyone tell me if there is a way to let guests submit reviews without being automatically registered?
Thanks to those who can answer me.

  • Hello @umberto69,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    1. I haven’t received any replies from you: https://prnt.sc/1ljo2b4

    2. As mentioned in your ticket, there is no solution for that at the moment. Directorist needs a reference of the user account to publish listings/reviews. That’s why an account is created automatically using the email address provided during guest listing/review submission. Also, we haven’t received any complaints from our users regarding this feature being illegal so far. We will keep this in our feature requests list. In case, we get more similar requests, we will try to find an alternative solution.

    Kind regards,

    Ciao @5h4h4d4t

    1. As you can see from the screenshot I replied, maybe you missed the conversation:

    2. I sincerely hope you can consider my request. Sometimes you have to put yourself in a guest’s shoes.
Would you like it if after making a review you received an email informing you that you have been registered?
The plugin is good, but due to that I don’t feel like using it.
However, here in Italy registering a user without her consent is illegal.
Thanks anyway for the answer, if one day you decide to fix it, I will be happy to install it again.
    Greetings

I think good support should solve problems. There is no willingness to do this or to respond, both here and in the support ticket.
    I am very disappointed
