Regain admin access after losing SSL cert?

Had https login set in the backend … at some point the SSL cert was cancelled without having changed settings back to a normal http admin login … so now there is no way to login as all login options are pointing/redirecting to a non-existant https setup.

I read and tried a number of things at http://codex.wordpress.org/Login_Trouble
I also dug around in the SQL tables, but don’t see an obvious solution.
