Maximum compression achieved about 5% on normal images and 30-40% on images converted through powerpoint slides. I am not sure if this really works. I still used to get image compression alerts on google pagespeed. Having changed to another image compression plugin seems to have worked better as the pagespeed image optimization images have disappeared.

If there is a possibility of a refund – please advise. (i checked the FAQ on optimus.io – did not see anything when searching for refund).

I used this with Cache Enabler, and I still used to get Enable Cache on pagespeed. Hence I have disabled that also.

  • Optimus uses lossless compression which means there is no quality loss when optimizing your images. Although it looks as though PageSpeed may have recently changed to using Lossy compression. You can still use another pagespeed test tool such as https://gtmetrix.com/ which performs tests based on lossless compression results.

There are no refunds for the Optimus plugin.
