Support » Plugin: Redirection » Redirection not working with Force HTTPS

  • I think this is a bug in the plugin. But when force HTTPS is enabled on a site. None of the redirects created with the Redirection plugin work.

For example I am redirecting to a new page if the user agent is detected as mobile.

Suggestions on how to fix or is there a workaround?

Can you give an example URL where it is not working?

I am having a problem with this too.

I have the box checked (on Options page) to redirect HTTP to HTTPS. But when I enter a link of the form:
I end up at my home page instead of the article page referenced:

I went to the Support page and tried the Redirect Tester, and it went like this (I changed the site name for this message):

HTTP 301 moved permanently – This and all future requests should be directed to the given URI

URL is not being redirected with Redirection

So it says it was not redirected by the plugin, which I don’t understand. Is there a way around it?

I have a donation for you if this can be fixed? 🙂

That sounds like two different problems, and possibly unrelated to the original poster. What version of the plugin are you using?

    Hi John, thanks for responding.

    My plugin:
Manage all your 301 redirects and monitor 404 errors
Version 3.4.1 | By John Godley | View details

Another tidbit I can add: Although I’ve had the Redirection plugin for a long time, I discovered recently that it was no longer working because my version of php was too old. I since had the php upgraded to version 7.
