Redirecting invalid URL

    I have an issue where people are going to old (now invalid) url’s.
    ie: http://www.example.com/NonExistingPath
    Which ends up loading a completely empty page (NOT a 404 error).
    I had expected these invalid urls to generate a 404 error.

    Is there a way to capture those and log&redirect them?

    I tried a few plugins with results not as expected (didn’t redirect)
