• Hi,

    I’m having problems authorising the linkedin lite plugin. Error as follows:

    invalid redirect_uri. This value must match a URL registered with the API Key.

    I can see when I authorise, the redirectURL being passed is in the format:

    redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdomainname1.co.uk%2F%2Flinkedin_receiver.php

    I have this plugin working on another site and in comparison, the working redirectURL is in the following format:

    redirect_uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdomainname2.co.uk%2Fwp-content%2Fplugins%2Flinkedin-lite%2Flinkedin_receiver.php

    Can you please clarify what I need to do to correct this?

    Thanks, I look forward to your response.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately this is one of those tricky situations which is incredibly hard to troubleshoot without having access to both the blog and the LinkedIn API in question.

    The fact it’s working on one site but not the other suggests it’s not the plugin, but the API configuration that is wrong.

    I’ll pass this onto my colleague Simon in case he has any ideas.

    Are you using the plugin on a single install or multisite?

    Hello,

    Are you trying to use the same set of API keys for the 2 different domains?

    If so then this won’t work, you need to add another api in your account and get another set of keys for the other domain.

    Let me know if that’s not the case and we’ll look further.

    Just to clarify – A single set of API keys is valid for use on 1 domain only, this can be a WP multisite install so that all blogs in the network can use the same single API keyset. No cross-domain or cross-install usage is supported.

    Simon
