Does anyone know where the code for this is set so I figure out why this is happening?

Have you checked the htaccess file?

Yes I removed the htaccess file and tested without permalinks same result.

Also I renamed plugins folder and checked with plugins disabled.

Checked all references to the domain in the database.

    This is a correct login
    http://www.ourexcellentadventures.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ourexcellentadventures.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

And this one from your first post looks correct to me.
    http://domain.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fdomain.com% 2Fdomain%2 Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

[edit] No it does not look correct. I bolded the incorrect part. It is as you said.

Thanks for you help, I think I figured out why this is happening but I’m not 100% so I’m going to do some testing.

I have no experience with using a GoDaddy account but I needed to use GoDaddy for this site.

I pointed the domain to the sub-directory on the site and I created the database. Transferred my wordpress installation over and everything appears good on the surface… but I don’t think this is the correct method.

It seems I have to set up a IIS virtual directory? I don’t know much about this so I will need to research more.

Strange thing about this is if I type:
    http://www.domain.com/wp-admin/

With the extra slash on the end. I get redirected to the correct location.

    No success on this still.

I had the same problem – problem was with my WP_SITEURL and WP_HOME values in wp-config.php. They were correctly set in the DB, and I used wrong values in the file. After commenting the values in my wp-config.php file, I did not have the problem anymore.
