Redirect to wrong specific post or frontpage

    Hi,
    I use the plugin and love it. However, I have the following issue:
    After switching the language (I have EN, DE, and NL), it will redirect to a specific post (incl. full URL). However, the URL of the language switch/flag is just the standard language url e.g. hopfenliebe.com/en (which will the redirect to hopfenliebe.com/en/post-whatever)

    I tried to delete the plugin and to install it fresh, however it seems to save the old settings somewhere (maybe in the DB). The same problem happens again after I install it newly and set posts to the languages.

    What can I do? What is the exact problem? And does the plugin save settings in SQL?

    (btw. use current wp + plugin versions)

    Hi,

    If you want to erase all Polylang related data when unistalling it, make sure you have the option “Remove all Polylang data when using the “Delete” link on the plugins screen” checked in Settings > Languages > Settings > Tools.

    If you still have the issue after re-install, try to reproduce it with default theme (like Twenty Sixteen) and all other plugins deactivated. Often the problem is caused by another theme/plugin incompability.

    I did check the delete setting, however – it looks like it remembers some settings. Can this be?

    So in the worst case my theme is just not working with the plugin?
