    Hi @marionfw,

    This issue can be due to some conflicts.
    Can you please do a quick conflict test so we can rule out any conflicts with one of your plugins or your theme and see if this issue goes away.
    Here is the doc on how to do a conflict test if you are not sure how to do it.

    Hi,
    I did a conflict test like you suggested. I have deactivated all plugins and changed the theme to Twenty Fifteen (except for UM and the maintenance mode plugin). Even then, I still have the problem that I cannot change the permissions for the menu items.

    As I activated the maintenance mode, I have not been able to test whether the redirect is working like it should, but I expect that it’s not solved, just like the menu issue I mentioned.

    After reactivating the plugins and regular theme, I deactivated the maintenance mode plugin just to be sure that it’s not this plugin that causes the problem, but no effect.

    In the meantime, the themebuilder (PressCustomizer) has let me know that my theme (Hueman Pro) does not use the indicated hook “wp_nav_menu_item_custom_fields” in its code.

    I hope you can solve this problem.
