Redirect 301 problems with plug in Redirection

Hi there,
I recently redirected my website from
mywebsite.com/IT/
to
mywebsite.com

I did it thanks to the plug in Redirect, using this rule:
starting url: /it/(.*)
to: /$1

In this way (I saw this rule in a tutorial) all my pages, posts are redirect to the main domain without trouble.

Now, the problem is when i have an url with more than parameter.
For example:
a) mywebsite.com/it/page/ -> mywebsite.com/page/ is ok
b)
mywebsite.com/it/page/page2/
mywebsite.com/it/page/image.jpg
mywebsite.com/it/page/page2/page3
…
..
they don’t work…
Can anyone help me please? I cannot understand why is not working.
