Many thanks for your help…just one other query with regards to multisite. I am so close to finishing this site but have this problem in the blogs/create blogs page http://www.ihubbusiness.co.uk/blogs/ the information does not sit within the table.
Could you head me in the right direction to rectify this or if their is a plugin.

That’s a buddypress question. You need to fix your theme to be compatible.
I get absolutely no reply from the buddypress forum. Don’t know what else to do

Yeah, that’s a theme issue.
Either make your theme BP compat, or try the BP template pack: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-template-pack/

Honestly, looking at the very basics of how the plugin works, it TELLS you how your theme has to be designed for it to work. Did you verify that?
Did you make sure to copy the files in? Did you edit the CSS?
It’s really all just normal styling your site to look how you want at this point.

No your style.css file generally. That’s how you tweak layout.
Please go read the BP Theme compatibility docs and all the info in the BP forums.
