Recurring Events & Event List

I am attempting to display recurring events without dates. More of an informational type thing.

However, #_RECURRINGPATTERN is giving me the date rang and textual representation of the recurrent pattern instead of just Wednesday, every 2 months. I am NOT including #_RECURRINGDATERANGE so this is confusing me.

Also, I am trying to just display one occurrence per recurring id for the whole event list. How do I just show 1 occurence of EACH event so it would look like I am hoping for it to look.
