    Since the latest update, Recurring Events are not working correctly.

    For example, I have an event that happens every 3rd Friday of the month. When I schedule the recurring event as such, it makes all of the events appear on the 3rd THURSDAY of the month instead. I have worked around this buy making the event state that it’s every 3rd Saturday, and this properly displays the event days on Fridays, but obviously this is not something that should be happening.

    Actually, on rechecking this it’s working correctly for me.

    Are you using the new timezones feature? If so, what timezone are you using?

    I’m using the New York time zone, which is the time zone that all of our events are in (we’re in DC)

    Can you try dev version 5.9.0.1? It’s pretty much 5.9 with a small tweak or two which will hopefully fix this problem.

    Same exact problem here. Created a bit of chaos this weekend. Any new recurring event is off by -1 day. Using NY timezone. Using ver 5.9

    Updating to 5.9.0.1 did not correct the problem.

    Thanks @tjoslyn for reporting this and @shamus2k thanks for confirming.

    From what I see, this is specific to NEW events only, previously created events do show the correct date.

    I hadn’t tried reproducing it before till now and yes I do reproduce this too. Will investigate and fix.

    We’ve just updated to 5.9.1 which should fix the issue. This seems to be caused by a wayward plugin setting your server timezone to something other than UTC (which is what WP sets it to) and not setting it back when done.
