Recently moved WordPress site problems

    I am in need of some assistance with some problems I am encountering after moving my WordPress site from example.com/wordpress to example.com. I followed the steps on another forum Moving WordPress and before I was able to use the one click update plug-ins button every time a plug-in had an update and now it is giving me an unpacking error saying it cannot find the directory. I also cannot upload any media files since the move giving me another error saying it cannot access the uploads folder. I followed the procedure very carefully but have been racking my brain all day today with no solution. I am using IIS 8.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Did you get a chance to try using one of the suggested plugins to change all of the URL’s stored in your database to the new URL?

    Yes, I’ve been on so many blogs and help sites to no avail. I’ve tried the link you provided as well.

    What’s really weird is all of my images that I have that are already in my uploads folder have been successfully changed to the new domain so they are being referenced appropriately. Why I cannot upload new pictures is a mystery I definitely would like solved. I even manually deposited some pictures in the uploads folder on my Web server and they do not show up in the list of files I have in WordPress.
