Recent posts and comments do not link.

Hello, When clicking on recent posts widget blue text in the sidebar, the link is not to the image but to the page that shows “This is somewhat embarrassing, isn’t it?”. I have tried linking the images to media and attachment in the editor and neither work. I am at a loss. I can not find the answer on this forum or internet. Suggestions have been to make sure the link is set and it is the correct url. I have dont this to no avail. I use a Twenty Eleven child theme.
