No – they actually write in and say they love my ice age movie – especially the animations – and I have nothing like that.
Another one said he loved the Shrek movies and I have nothing like that.
I was just trying to figure this out and noticed it is all coming in on one certain page, so I cut off the comments on that page. I’ll see if that fixes it.
THANKS
It is still happening. I get comments – honest comments — complimenting some blog or article that I don’t even have on the site. They agree with what I said – and they come in on a FORM page where I didn’t say anything! And there is nothing on my whole site like they are talking about!
I cut off the comments on the form page, and they come in on other pages. Same thing – complimenting me on things I never said!
Sorry, but they’re spam. The comments appear generally positive, but they are often not related to the content of the post, and URL of the commentator is often for some sort of spammish site.
This is a very common practice. The goal of the spammer is to get their URL in your comments section, and the generally positive comment is to fool you into approving it. If you don’t believe me, investigate the URLs that some of these commentators post with.
Well, thank you! I DO believe you. That is all that makes sense, I guess. Just another sneaky way to get in!
I sure appreciate your time and info!!
