I’ve entered my site key and secret key from google into your plugin.

I got a success message that said id successfully saved.

If I go to your form on my page – will it show the recaptcha logo (and where) – or will it appear unchanged. I am not sure if it is set up correctly?

Hope you can guide me please?

    Thank you

  • Hi @side99

I hope you are doing well today.

With ReCaptchav3 you should see the ReCaptcha square at the bottom right or bottom left corner of your site or inline in form depending on how you set it up.

I cannot see any kind of errors in the browser console but still, there could be some sort of conflict here.

Would you please run a conflict test? Please deactivate all plugins except Forminator and check if the problem is gone. If so, then enable all plugins one by one and find which one is having a conflict. If there is no positive result, switch to the default WordPress theme like 2019, and see if it works.

Before this test, we recommend full site backup or running this test on the staging site.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris

    Hi @wpmudevsupport13

I’m doing well thanks – hope you are too.

Before I run a conflict test are there any otyher settings I need to configure in forminator to get the recaptchv3 showing on my enquiry page please? I simply pasted key keys into the dialog box and hit save.

Lastly, do you know if there are any known conflicts with Divi / Divibuilder. I am using recaptchv3 for their contact forms, which are other contact forms in place elsewhere on my site which potentially I could revert to.

    Thank you very much,

    HI @side99

    Thanks for response!

We assumed that you do have reCaptcha “fully added” but if you only added keys then yes – you do need to take one more step first:

edit the form and click on “Insert fields” button, then find the “Captcha” field and put it on form; then you’ll also need to configure in that field settings which captcha to use.

After that update the form, clear all caches and check on front-end again if captcha works (if it’s V3 it should show a logo on page).

That said, I think before we go into any conflict testing, please make sure about above settings as if you don’t have captcha field added to the form captcha will not work for sure with this form – so that’s the first step.

    Best regards,
    Adam

    Hi @wpmudev-support8

    Thanks Adam.

Adam, I’m not using the Pro version. Within the standard plug in there is no option to add reCaptcha to each field. Within the settings panel, under ‘Captcha’ there are two fields to add keys and then hit save. I cannot see where else the option to add recaptcha is. I think I am using the latest version of the plug-in as I downloaded it yesterday?

Apologies for the back and forth. For the time being, I have reverted back to my Divi contact form.

    Thanks,

    HI @side99

    Thanks for response!

I think we are not quite on the same side here, I’m sorry if I caused any confusion and let me clearify this.

    1. you do not need “Pro” version to use captcha, it’s not relatd

    2. adding captcha to Forminator form is a two-step process.

First step is to go to “Forminator -> Settings -> CAPTCHA” Page and insert captcha keys tehre. This is what you have already done.

The second step is to actually add captcha to the form itself (note: each form, not each “field”). To do this you need to

    – go to the “Forminator -> Forms” page
    – open form for editing
    – got to “Fields” tab
    – click “Insert fields”
    – find “Captcha” on the fields list and click on it
    – then configure captcha settings and save the form.

Here is a video for that second step, take a look, please:

    Hi Adam,

Success! Thank you to you and your team for all your time and patience on this. Thanks also for including the screencast.

I had just one last favour to ask please? I have a non-compulsory question at the bottom of my form. The checkbox options are Yes (first checkbox) and No (second checkbox). Is there a way to make it so both cannot be selected, and also required, but only one option (yes or no) needs to required and selectable please. I tried to look at the behaviour settings but couldn’t figure it out?

    Thank you so much

    Hi @side99

    I’m glad I could help!

As for your additional question: currently there’s no option to set that without additional custom code. But what about using “radio” field instead?

You can add two options (yes/no) to radio type field and mark the field required and radio will then

    – require one of the options to be selected
    – but allow only one of them to be selected at the time

    Best regards,
    Adam
