And, btw, it is not advisable to upgrade directly from 1.2.x to 2.x. Upgrade first to 1.5.2 and then to 2.0.2 – the latest. More details: Upgrading_WordPress

2) Is this in fact an upgrade?
3) HOW did you upgrade (if in fact it is an upgrade)?

Well I have’nt used wordpress before! I downloaded wordpress from http://wordpress.org/download/ “latest.tar.gz” and then this happend, that I explained before. Do I still have to uppgrade?
ecolective, the version now available at the normal download link above is 2.0.2 – at this point I think you’d be best advised to just redownload, delete whatever you’ve got already there, drop the database, and start over.
