Readibility improvement in Elementor editor not allowed

    More than a year ago, when I was the first person to suggest improved integration between Yoast SEO and Elementor, I cited the complexity of trying to use the Yoast highlighting of possible editorial changes (such as the use of passive voice) together with the Elementor editor.

    Now Yoast boasts of integration with Elementor. However, to my great dismay, it does not allow for a solution to the very problem I initially cited. When using Yoast from within the ELementor editor, the “eye” icon, to view possible changes, is greyed out and the message “Marks are disabled in current view” is displayed.

    It is extremely frustrating that the one thing that would truly improve efficient editing for good SEO is the one thing that the integration does not allow. I hope this feature becomes available in the very near future.

    Thanks for the question and for raising the issue. The Elementor integration allows Yoast SEO to give you immediate feedback on your posts while editing with Elementor, but we can confirm that there isn’t support for the highlighting feature.

    We completely understand how useful it is for you and many others and we can imagine that it’s disappointing to find that this isn’t available with this plugin release. There is still an open request to add to this feature, so our developers can consider this when planning updates.

    Well, the concern has not disappeared at all. The feature is simply not available, and this, in spite of recent changes to the positioning of Yoast SEO on the Elementor back office editing panel.
