Reader can't subscribe

    I use the Jetpack subscription widget. A reader reports that every time he tries to subscribe to my site, he gets this message: “There was an error when subscribing, please try again.” I’ve tried to subscribe for him using the subscribe box but I get the same message. Meanwhile, other readers are subscribing successfully. How can I fix this?

    First steps I would recommend that you clear all caches and cookies and try again.

    Also make sure that you are using a browser that you are not logged in on.

    @travellingboomer – If they keep subscribing without confirming their subscription, they will get an error.

    Can you share this reader’s email address with us here, and we can look up their subscription status for your site? Also, let us know what your site address is so we can double check your Jetpack connection.
