Re-installation of Theme

Hi there,

Our current website (www.hinthabusinesscentres.com) was built using the Enfold theme.

As we upgraded our wordpress to the newest version the theme was no longer compatible as the version used for the website was the older one.

I have tried to research on my own how to update the theme and in multiple resources I have found out that I need to do it with the use of FTP since we have made changes to the template and have our own content on the website.

Due to the fact I am a beginner with WordPress we have decided to engage a company to re-install the theme for us and put everything in the same order as it is now. However, the company is asking for the access co cPanel in order to download the database and source code.

My question is, does the company need the access to FTP when re-installing the theme for the existing website? Why?

OR

Is is enough to access the WordPress to re-install the theme and put all the content back into order?
