• I have searched around though i still haven’t found a clear answer.

I set up a website the other day so there’s is not much content on it yet.
There is an issue with uploading images, including uploading my own header logo. I have read re-installing may fix problems like this.

In order to re-install, is all i have to do click “re-install now”?

I don’t have a need to keep any of the things i have added to the website, so losing content is not an issue for me.

  • When you use “re-install now”, it will only reinstall the WordPress core files, but it will NOT clear/empty your database. So, if you really want to start again fresh, delete your entire site and database first and start over from the beginning.

Yes, I’d suggest the same. Delete everything, including your database and files, and then install a fresh copy of WordPress.

    Hope this helps 🙂

I am in a similar boat to las_95 (leaky but not sinking), and seek further clarification please.
I am ready to delete everything as advised above. I am using the cPanel at HostPapa. Do I delete the cPanel folder as well?
    Thanks for help . . . much appreciated !!!

    scary

    no just go into wordpress
    go to updates
    press reinstall wp

do this only after making a backup if your site is live and has content
