Rank Math Sitemap Redirection

    Hi, it seems there is an issue with Rank Math plugin sitemap. When Rank Ready plugin is active the sitemap is redirect back to homepage. When i disable, the sitemap works just fine.

    Could you please take a look?

    I use the latest versions of both plugins.

    Thanks for the clear report, and sorry for the trouble with your Rank Math sitemap.

    First, some reassurance: we tested RankReady alongside Yoast, AIOSEO, and WordPress core sitemaps including the exact sitemap_index.xml URL that Rank Math uses and RankReady serves all of them correctly with no redirect. So this isn’t a case of RankReady blocking sitemaps across the board; it looks like a specific rewrite-rule state on your site, which is usually quick to clear.

    Please try these first in order:

    1. Re-save your permalinks. Go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes (you don’t need to change anything). This regenerates WordPress’s rewrite rules cleanly with both plugins’ rules registered, and it fixes the large majority of “sitemap redirects to the homepage after activating a plugin” cases. This is the single most likely fix.
    2. Clear any cache. If you use a caching plugin (WP Rocket, LiteSpeed, W3TC, etc.) or a CDN (Cloudflare), purge it. A cached 301 redirect can keep pointing the sitemap to the homepage even after the underlying issue is fixed.
    3. Re-check Rank Math’s sitemap. Go to Rank Math → Sitemap Settings and confirm the sitemap module is on, then reload sitemap_index.xml.

    If it still redirects after those, could you share a few details so we can reproduce it exactly and fix it if RankReady is involved?

    • Is it a 301/302 redirect to the homepage, or a 404 page? (The browser’s Network tab or a tool like httpstatus.io will show this.)
    • The exact sitemap URL you’re visiting (e.g. sitemap_index.xml vs sitemap.xml).
    • Your permalink structure (Settings → Permalinks).
    • Your web server (Apache, nginx, or LiteSpeed) and host.

    With that, I can spin up a matching setup, reproduce it, and ship a fix in the next release if it’s on our side. Really appreciate you flagging it.
