Random parse error and website not appearing

    Hi,

    I´ve been having problems on and off with my website recently. Sometimes it´s there, sometimes not. I´ve updated everything but not changed any content. This is the current message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘1’ (T_LNUMBER), expecting ‘)’ in /home/gevent/public_html/wp-content/themes/genesis/header.php on line 24

    Can anyone offer some advice please?

    your theme “genesis” seems to be the error.

    try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme using FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides. Navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and switch to the default theme by renaming your current theme’s folder by adding “-old” to the end of the folder name. Alternately, you can remove other themes except the default theme. That will force your site to use it.

    Thanks so much for the info Tara. To be honest I have no idea what any of that means but I know a very kind website man that does so I´ll pass on the info to him and we can work it out.
