• Hello all, I’ve been using wp for 3 years now long time user, first time here in the forms. This one has me beat! I’ve been using the aspire theme ( http://www.wordpressthemes2.com/aspire/) on one of my sties now for 3 2 years now without any issue, then yesterday a small link appears at the very top of the page, a little brown strip appears with text that says it cannot connect to the server but none the less there it is a link that I cannot find any where in the code this even happens on my offline server with no widgets or plug ins installed !? Prior to yesterday all was fine. I’ve deleted and reloaded the template, how can this be ? Can any of you pros take a look and possibly point me in the right direction.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING LINK is to a site with ADULT CONTENT, i do not want to offend anyone with such material, if you don’t mind the content and could have a look please…

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Hi thanks for the reply. yes I’ve shut down every plugin and still it’s there. I can switch to twenty ten or any other theme and the bar is gone. I’m going to lookin to resetting the plugins folder as you’ve suggested. Thanks for the feedback!
