    Hey, I’ve just set up Wordfence on my site. How often should I schedule scans to keep things running smoothly without overloading the server? I’m just trying to find the right balance.

    Hi @ramon302, thanks for getting in touch.

    On Wordfence Free, scan times are managed automatically by the plugin. A quick scan with a limited set of checks runs once a day, and a full scan runs every 72 hours.

    Wordfence does daily checks for WordPress core updates, outdated plugins/themes, and any plugins or themes with known vulnerabilities so you get alerted ASAP even if a full scan isn’t due to run that day.
