• Hi, your theme Huamen is perfect, but I have some questions about it. I know, similar or the same questions have been posted but I really don´t know how to resolve it.

    1) LANGUAGE – I´d like to use czech language. (translate some words – follow, more, you may also like…). I know about this translation here http://goo.gl/EssbSS but it is outdated. I know I have to upload the files to langugage folder and change some code in theme. But do I have to upload it to parent theme or child theme and what theme and where to change the code?

    2) Should I use theme version from wordpress.org or from you website? Will be the version from your website updated in wordpress automatically? What are advantages and disadvantages?

    3) How to change posts thumbnails? I would like to it a little bigger.

    4) How to change posts like this page http://livefaith.org/ to one column and square thumbnails?

I have installed CHILD THEME CONFIGURATOR and ORBISIUS THEME EDITOR. Can I do changes of code in this plugins and how?

Sorry for my English… I hope you understand

  • Hi nepovim.

    1) See this post for a couple of ways to change text without loading a new language file.

    2)

Should I use theme version from wordpress.org or from you website?

    Depends.

Will be the version from your website updated in wordpress automatically?

No, you’ll need to periodically check the web site for updates.

    What are advantages and disadvantages?

    From the theme author:

Note: The version of Hueman available on wordpress.org is a “lite” version, and does not include sharing buttons, tracking code field, basic shortcodes and some other things as it is seen as plugin territory.

    3) Depends on which thumbnails you’re referring to. There are 3 created by WP and 4 created by the theme. You can adjust the WP sizes in Settings > Media. To adjust the theme sizes you’d need to copy a function to a child theme. In either case you’ll need to regenerate the thumbnails using something like the Regeneate Thumbnails plugin.

    4) Theme Options > Blog > Standard Blog list ON.

I don’t know anything about either of those plugins. You can download a pre-configured child theme from within the Hueman theme. You can edit the theme files using the built-in WP file editor.
