Question on spam

I setup a few WP sites way back and in doing so I enabled Akismet.

Just wondering how Akismet is listing hundreds of spam being block when the sites I have it enabled do not allow for comments or any other type of contact choices.

Please advise how and where it gets this list from. It actually shows the spam in the folder and the page or post I created the spam is attached to, but again, where does the spam come from as my posts do not allow for comments.
