And here is more info about the hand gesture on Wikipedia:

Hi @dmarin
The “sign of the horns” hand gesture means many things to many cultures. We at The Events Calendar chose this particular iconography as in popular culture, this sign represents “rock on” or having fun, and is often used as a sign of appreciation at many events, like concerts or sporting events, or even weddings.
We feel that this icon represents that spirit of fun and elation people can experience at such gatherings or events, which is the mission that our software hopes to support.
I hope this clears up any confusion you may have!
