Question about Tabs and linking back

I am trying to build my site up but I’m having a hard time trying to link back to my main page. My URL is hoopangle.com and I have sub-pages that the main page links to for different NBA teams (i.e. hoopangle.com/mavericks).

When I go to the team specific sites and try to create a new tab, I go to the “Permalinks” section under settings but I can’t get it to work the way I want it to.

I go under the “Pages” option on the left and click “add new”. I will fill out the name of the tab under “title” but then I want to type out the URL associated with that tab but it makes me start it off by using that page.

For Example: If I’m on the mavericks site (hoopangle.com/mavericks) and I want to create a tab entitled “HoopAngle” to take me back to the main page, it will not allow me to simply type in “hoopangle.com”. Instead it makes me start off with “hoopangle.com/mavericks/” and then I can add whatever text I want after that.

Is there some way to redirect that page back to my main page or change the settings so that I can link back?
