Unless you provide a link to a page demonstrating the problem, no one will be able to offer much in the way of specific help.
the url for my website is http://www.catchmybiz.com. once your there click on the home icon and it should take you to http://catchmybiz.com/newcatchmybiz/ and there u can see the minor changes that i have made so far.which is just the logo at the top left. i dont want to have to tell people to go to http://catchmybiz.com/newcatchmybiz/ instead of just catchmybiz.com.
i was reading a few other comments on the forum and i think it might have something to do with making wordpress its own directory, im really hoping its not that because that seems a little complicated for me.
thanks, i will take a look at that right now and see if i can figure it out.
so i tried following all the steps but i could not find the .htaccess. it turns out that my host (yahoo) will not allow me to access that file. does this pretty much leave me without any options or is there something i can do?
Have you asked Yahoo if they can assist you?
yea i spoke to yahoo and they told me that they could not give me access to the .htaccess file. i really dont understand why they cant because now i wont have a website that functions how i would want it to. do u have any idea what i could do to make this work?
Reset the urls back to catchmybiz.com/newcatchmybiz using the wp-config.php or functions.php method outlined on Changing_The_Site_URL. Then you’ll need to physically move your site to your root domain using the instructions in this Codex section.
