Question about plugin capabilities

    I was working with the support for Search & Filter PRO on my client’s website and asked the following: Is there a way to show the # of results for the search at the top of the results page? It’s already like that on the live site but is not doing it anymore on the dev site.

    Their Answer: At the moment, it is not possible with the Custom Layouts integrations. However, this is on our to-do lists and our developers might add this feature in the future.

    Do you have any idea why this is not possible using the Custom Layout for the search results page?

    Hey @emgb_520

    Essentially we need to create an element that displays the number of results as text / a sentence.

    So it’s a feature we need to add (that S&F would hook into).

    There might be a way to get this info to display if you’re happy with a bit of PHP coding? I’ll start having a think about this to make sure it is possible… !

    We’ve found some code we’ve written for the Elementor posts widget so we’re just trying to repurpose that.

    As this is a bit of custom coding its got pushed below a few other priorities for our support team but we’ll hopefully provide a solution today / tomorrow.

    So to update, not great news unfortunately – we couldn’t get the other code we had written working with Custom Layouts (which we were hoping to use, to save time).

    We need to make some changes to this plugin to even enable a “hacky” workaround.

    This needs a good bit more time to figure out and some planning – something I’ll need to do myself – however I’m officially away from tomorrow for a couple of weeks.

    After that, it will be a case of prioritising our workload – and I’m afraid I can’t guarantee a swift turnaround on this one…

    Sorry the news is not better right now – a full implementation of this feature has been added to the roadmap.
