Question about “Max Posts per Day”

Does “Max Posts per Day” look at the total number of published posts, or just the total published by APS?

Example: Let’s say I have APS set up to auto-posts 10x/day. I have “Max Posts per Day” also set to 10. During the day, I manually publish three posts.

At the end of the day, how many posts will have been published on my blog? 10? or 13?

I’d love it if “Max Posts per Day” looked at ALL published posts. So if I set it to 10, and I post 7 manually, then APS will only post a maximum three additional posts.

Is that how it already works? If not, can that be available as an option?

There would be wrinkles and complications to this use case. I get that.
