I just downloaded the ‘Quentin’ theme and uploaded it to my themes directory. It appears in my admin page as ‘broken’ – the explanation given is that it doesn’t have a template.

For some reason I cannot access the community theme viewer – the page never loads due to ‘server error’. Is there anywhere else I can get the ‘Quentin’ theme template file from?

  • Are you sure you have the theme in a top-level folder of its own? One folder, named Quentin whatever the latest version number is, then inside that an images folder and the php files, plus the style.css file.

Where did you get Quentin from? http://themes.wordpress.net is loading fine right now, but I didn’t know they had it.

Originally it was available here: http://www.pikemurdy.com/quentin

Thanks for your reply. I downloaded the theme files from the pikemurdy link you give. I believe that I uploaded the files correctly into their own directory in my themes folder but apparently there is no template file in there.

When I try to access themes.wordpress.net I get the following error :
    “Server not found
Firefox can’t find the server at themes.wordpress.net.”

I’ve tried clearing my cache, etc., but it just won’t load.

I’d wager you have nested folders. In other words, the actual files are two levels too deep.

I just grabbed the zip. Unzipped it to C:Quentin-10-folder. Opened that folder to see another C:Quentin-10-folder. Opened that folder to see quentin

That last one is the one you want to put under your /wp-content/themes.
