If you are using a standard flyout sub menu, it may be possible with this plugin:

If you are using a mega sub menu, try installing “Recent Posts Extended” and add that widget to the sub menu.

Hi Tom,
I am using Mega menu – Grid layout
The “solution” is part of the Menu item and when I hover on Solution the Drop Down contains Sub Menu items. Along with those submenus I need to pull two latest resources that are added, which might be from Ebook, Brochure, datasheet, or case study list.
Can you let me know how this can be done?

I think you should be able to do that with the “Recent Posts Extended” plugin (install that plugin then add the widget to your sub menu, and configure it to show the 2 latest resources)

Hi Tom,
Using the “Recent posts extended’ plugin worked for me. With this plugin, I am able to pull the latest Resources.
When I pull the latest Resource the title appears by default.
As of now, the resource is displayed in the below format
The thumbnail image of the resource
XXX (Title of Resource)
But I want to Customize to the below format
The thumbnail image of the resource
Resource Type (Ebook)
xxx (title of Ebook/Resource)
CTA Text (Download >>)
How do I customize to this format?
I tried configuring it, but could not find a solution to get the above custom format as I need.

You would need to ask the authors of that plugin for help configuring it, it is not something we develop ourselves. You could also try the “Content Views” plugin, it is more complex but I believe it offers more layouts.
