Publish couldn't connect. Lost text.
-
I wrote up a draft on one day, and left the browser window open. The next day I went back and added several hours worth of additional text. When I clicked on the Publish button I got some kind of connection error (sorry I don’t remember). Clicking on the back button took me to a blank post. Yikes.
I was able to log back in and see my draft, but all of the text added on the second day was gone. There were no revisions. The check box for revisions in Screen Options wouldn’t show up until I forced it to autosave a new draft, but I can’t get back to my previous longer version, the one that was up when I clicked on Publish.
I tried deactivating all plugins, even doing so via ftp. I tired using the default theme. Still I can’t get back to that text.
Does WP autosave drafts? Is there some way I can go back to version I had?
Thanks,
