I’m seeing an issue where the Members plug-in works perfectly with one exception.

When a page that was previously limited to specific roles is made public by removing the roles granted access, the page continues to require a login to access the information. The error message carries through for non-logged-in users.

    1) Create public page — everyone can view
    2) Limit page to roles — roles can view
    3) Remove roles — users w/o login cannot view

Seems to have been a CDN caching issue.

I have this exact same issue, I’m using Cloudflare and wonder if it is something to do with that. I’ve purged the cache and tried disabling the CDN functionality but I’m still not able to access a public page when not logged into the CMS.

My issue was actually that the content restrictions were being inherited from the parent page. This was for custom post type but I’m not sure if that was anything to do with it.

It wasn’t anything to do with caching.
