I have altered the template content (including changing “Find out more” to Danish). This information is stored in “template-events-calendar // templates // list // list.php”. However, when I update The Events Calendar Shortcode & Block my code in list.php is replaced with the latest version.

Is there a hack to this plugin moving the code to my child theme?

    Hi @tveden,

To translate the plugin, there is no need to modify the template as it will always override once you update it.
`Follow these steps to translate the plugin and refer to the images to check the screenshot for each step:-
    1. Install “Loco Translate” and the Loco Automatic Translate Addon free plugin Please refer to the image.
    2. Open Loco Translate >> Plugins >> Events Shortcode and Templates for Event Calendar.
    3. Now Click on Create Template. Please refer to the image.
    4. Click on the Create template button. Please refer to the image
    5. Click on New language. Please refer to the image.
    6. Add New Language – Portuguese Brazil (any language you want)- Save inside another location, outside the plugin folder >> Click on Start translating. Please refer to the image.
    7. Now click on the Auto Translate button.
You will find that the text mentioned above is translated into your chosen language.
You can also refer to the video tuts here.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Nick

I am aware of Loco. However this did not solve my situation as not all your text supports Loco translation.

Thus, is it possible for me to move some of the code into my child theme folder?
