Proposal for new Relevanssi

    I’m trying out Relevanssi Light, and I don’t find it very interesting. I think it’s much more interesting to create a “Relevanssi Highlighter”. This way, it integrates with the WoerPress search module and highlights found items. It’s a very simple plugin. What do you think?

    Relevanssi Light is designed to be boring. It does a simple, boring task: it makes the default WP search better and, on big sites, massively faster. That’s it.

    If you need a highlighter, there’s one in Relevanssi. I can’t speak for the current owners of Relevanssi, but I’m pretty sure their focus is on developing Relevanssi further, instead of extending the plugin family.

    (Highlighting is, by the way, one of the more complicated parts of Relevanssi. Relevanssi Light is a simple plugin, Relevanssi Highlighter would be a lot more complicated and much harder to maintain.)
