A church want profiles for families, but you can only have one account per profile. Is it possible to connect two accounts (of the parents) at one profile? Or maybe put this on the wishlist?

    Hello @jvdhelder

Sorry, your question isn’t clear. Nothing prevents family members from using the same profile. Family members can also create individual profiles and one shared profile for the entire family.

Could you please elaborate on what you mean by a family profile and how it should differ from a regular profile?

    Hi @yuriinalivaiko

What I mean is that as a family, you want a single profile with the father, mother, and children. Not two profiles: one for the father and one for the mother. Together, they form a single entity within the membership administration.

Do you understand what I mean?

    Hello @jvdhelder

Remove the “First Name” from the registration and profile forms. Keep the “Last Name” field to use it as the family name. You can change the label of this field to “Family”.

Add additional custom fields to the registration and profile forms if you want to allow members to enter names of the father, mother, and children.

Change the “Profile Permalink Base” and “User Display Name” on wp-admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > General > Users. Use options that do not require a first name.

    Hi @yuriinalivaiko

Thanks for your reply! I understand what you are saying, but both parents have their own email address. And just one email address in the wp user account for signing in and get notifications. So is it possible to manage one profile with two wp user accounts?

    Hi @jvdhelder,

No, it is not possible. Every WordPress user has an unique email address. One profile – one user – one email address.

    I see two possible solutions:

    1. Ask parents create a new common email mailbox that both of them can access and use it to create an account on your website.
    2. Use fathers (mothers) email mailbox to create an account on your website and ask them to share the account password with wife (husband).
