Profile photo uploads don’t work.

    Hi,

    Problem #1

    I can’t change the profile and cover photos. No matter how many times I try changing existing photos to different ones, after I hit the ‘update’ button, my profile only shows old photos. However, on the member’s directory page, sometimes the latest uploads are reflected and sometime not – it’s very confusing. How do you make the latest uploads show up immediately on your profile and throughout the website?

    Problem #2

    Even after I add photos and text to my profile, it still shows this message: Your profile is looking a little empty. Why not add some information. How do you remove the message for filled profiles?

    Hi @mumuadmin,

    Firstly, do you have any caching plugins installed or sever side caching active on your server e.g. Varnish Cache, Memcached, CloudFlare, WpEngine caching etc?
    This issue can be caused by the caching plugin or by some conflicts with other plugins or your theme. Please try to do a conflict test by disabling all plugins except Ultimate member and switching to the default WordPress theme and see if this issue goes away. Please also check this doc on how to troubleshoot image uploads issues.

    Secondly, have you added fields to your profile form? Do you have unique profiles for different user roles?

    Thank you for your reply.

    The 1st problem was caused due to a certain setting with Jetpack and now is solved!

    For the 2nd problem, no, I haven’t added any fields or unique profiles. I’m testing UM in its default settings and with the profiles of 2 administrators and 1 subscriber.
