When you go to Guestbook > Settings > Reading tab, is the Name activated?

Yes, the name is checked, I did a reinstalled the plugin 1.5.7, no luck?

And these entries do have an author name set when you go to the editor page?

Hmmm, I don’t understand when you say editor page? The shortcode is in the page (i.e. Add new) and I don’t see anything like author name (box) to enable / disabled for the plugin setting. Anywhere you can direct me to it?
My site is still under construction, I just un-disabled.

You can go to Guestbook > Entries and click on Edit.
It could be that it just didn’t save the author name. Was it filled in at the time of posting?

GOOD NEWS! I uninstalled the plugin from the Settings and activated again. ThenI realized the name on the FORM was uncheck for both (Enabled, Mandatory). I checked both and cleared the cached. The name came back after on every entry. Happy Camper!
Anyhow, I am putting another curious support.
