Products Duplicate on Import

    Hello:

    I am using your Pro version of the UC. Bought it yesterday. I am having an issue with products being duplicated in the database when I import an updated Excel sheet. I have a master Excel sheet with all of the products, descriptions,etc. that I update as new products need to be batch imported. But when I import the updated sheet the system adds the new products but also adds the old products again. Is there a way to tell the system to: do not repeat products on import, ignore products that have no changed data, append existing products if new information is in the Excel sheet?

    My workaround has been to create new sheets that contain only the products needed to update.

    Hi Chris,

    There’s currently no built in functionality to ignore unchanged products. In this case, I’d either suggest continuing using the ‘new sheet’ workaround you mentioned or alternatively:

    1) Make a backup of your site and database (if you’re concerned about making a mistake).
    2) Export your products to Excel or CSV.
    3) Delete all products on the site.
    4) Make your changes to the Excel/CSV you downloaded.
    5) Upload the changed Excel/CSV file.
